1 Scope [Replace the second paragraph with the following] The requirements of this Standard apply to individual items according to the CSA C22.2 No. 60079 series, the ISO 80079 series, or the Canadian Electrical Code, Part II, that comprise the assembly and that have individual certificates. These individual items are then integrated as part of the equipment assembly. Also included are requirements to address aspects for the assembly which may be beyond the certificates of the individual items forming the assembly. [Add the following paragraph] Group I electrical equipment intended for use in mines susceptible to firedamp is regulated by the provinces and territories of Canada. Such types of equipment (e.g., caplights) should be referred to the respective authority having jurisdiction.
