CAN/CSA-C22.2 No. 62109-1:16 (IEC 62109-1:2010, MOD)

This is the first edition of CAN/CSA-C22.2 No. 62109-1, Safety of power converters for use in photovoltaic power systems — Part 1: General requirements, which is an adoption, with Canadian deviations, of the identically titled IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) Standard 62109-1 (first edition, 2010-04). It is one in a series of Standards issued by CSA Group under Part II of the Canadian Electrical Code. At the time of publication, IEC 62109-1:2010 is available from IEC in English only. CSA will publish the French version when it becomes available from IEC. For brevity, this Standard will be referred to as “CAN/CSA-C22.2 No. 62109-1” throughout. This Standard is considered suitable for use for conformity assessment within the stated scope of the Standard. This Standard was reviewed for Canadian adoption by the CSA Working Group on Power Conversion, under the jurisdiction of the CSA Integrated Committee on Photovoltaics, the CSA Technical Committee on Industrial Products, and the CSA Strategic Steering Committee on Requirements for Electrical Safety, and has been formally approved by the Technical Committee. This Standard has been approved as a National Standard of Canada by the Standards Council of Canada.
