This standard aims to specify the requirements related to the design and manufacture of temporary canvas winter shelters for motor vehicles in order to ensure their fitness for purpose. This standard is particularly concerned with ensuring the safety of people and property by preventing the collapse or dislodgement of shelters. It takes into account snow and wind loads particular to the province of Quebec. This standard was developed to serve as a reference document for conformity evaluation activities of specific products. NOTE — Conformity assessment is defined as the systematic examination of the extent to which a product fulfils specified requirements.
