1 PURPOSE AND SCOPE
This document presents the BNQ's general rules of procedure applicable to product, process and
service certification programs in relation to normative documents.
These general rules of procedure are only applicable to the certification programs accredited by the
Standards Council of Canada (SCC).
For products, BNQ certification programs are offered in the following three formats:
- product certification;
- component certification;
- product attestation.
The general rules of procedure for component certification and product attestation are presented in
Chapters 5 and 6 respectively.
