This National Standard of Canada is equivalent to International Standard ISO 14042:2000 (first edition, 2000-03-01). 1. Scope This International Standard describes and gives guidance on a general framework for the life cycle impact assessment (LCIA) phase of life cycle assessment (LCA), and the key features and inherent limitations of LCIA. It specifies requirements for conducting the LCIA phase and the relationship of LCIA to the ot her LCA phases.
