This National Standard of Canada is based on International Standard CEI/IEC 598-2-10:1987 (first edition, 1987), including Amendments 1:1990 and 2:1995. 1. Scope This section of Part 2 of IEC Publication 598 specifies requirements for portable child-appealing luminaires for use with tungsten filament lamps on supply voltages not exceeding 24 V (SELV). It is to be read in conjunction with those sections of Part I to which reference is made.
