Canadian OSI Registration Procedures and Guidelines - Part 2: Guidelines for Network-Service-Access-Point Addresses of the Data Country Code Format
1. Scope 1.1 This Standard provides guidelines for the allocation of Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) NSAP addresses of the Data Country Code format, over which the National Registration Authority has direct authority. 1.2 This Standard specifies the structure and semantics of the DSP part of the NSAp address when the value of the AFI and IDI parts of the address are 39 and 124, respectively, and does not exclude the use of NSAP addresses based on other AFi and IDI values. 1.3 This Standard also specifies the minimum criteria that an organization must satisfy in order to register an organization identifier at the national level and provides additional guidelines for who should and who should not register at the national level. When an organization identifier is registered for use in a DCC format NSAP address, it shall be used in accordance with this Standard. 1.4 The field of application includes all environments in which the DCC NSAp address format is used, regardless of what routing architecture and protocols are in use.
