Measurement of Harmonic Currents
1.1 Provides procedures for measuring harmonic currents generated by equipment to the extent that they affect the safety of electrical installations when the equipment is installed in accordance with the Canadian Electrical Code, Part I. 1.2 The procedures described in this Standard are provided for referencing in the Standards forming Part II of the Canadian Electrical Code. Although the verbal auxiliary "shall" is used to state the requirements of each procedure given, it is essential to recognize that the procedures are nonmandatory in themselves unless mandated by individual Standards or by Regulatory Authorities. 1.3 This Standard applies to all electrical and electronic equipment intended to be connected to electrical power systems with a nominal frequency of 60 Hz and at a sinusoidal voltage of 750 V or less. 1.4 Nonharmonic and subharmonic types of current are not addressed in this Standard.
