This National Standard of Canada is based on International Standard IEc 950:1986. It applies to: (a) Power supplies that are primarily to be used in equipment which itself is to be used in accordance with the Canadian Electrical Code; (b) Power supplies with: (i) rated input voltage not exceeding 750 V rms or dc; (ii) rated input not exceeding 200 kV·A; (iii) rated output voltage not exceeding 30 kV rms or dc; (c) Power supplies which can be: (i) built-in; or (ii) integral with a host equipment; where the suitability of the combination is to be determined in the final application.
