Scope This standard applies to any drinking water system component that conveys or dispenses water for human consumption through drinking or cooking. Devices or components not included in Section 1.2 that are part of a plumbing system or that dispense drinking water from a self-contained reservoir shall be permitted to be evaluated by the standard requiring compliance.
