SCOPE This standard applies to round sections of reinforced concrete and unreinforced concrete pipes intended for burial underground and conveying domestic wastewater or storm water or both by gravity flow. This standard applies to reinforced concrete pipes and monolithic lateral connections of diameters from 200 mm to 3600 mm and to unreinforced concrete pipes and monolithic lateral connections of diameters from 150 mm to 900 mm. NOTES — 1 For requirements concerning installation of concrete wastewater pipes, it is recommended to refer to Standard BNQ 1809-300 (see Annex D). 2 For requirements concerning installation of concrete culvert made from concrete pipes, it is recommended to refer to Cahier des charges et devis généraux (CCDG) of the Ministère des Transports du Québec (see Annex D). 3 In some circumstances, wastewater may contain substances such that pipes are exposed to special conditions. It is recommended that the pipe designer consider such circumstances. 4 Domestic wastewater pipes and storm water pipes are subject to special leak tightness requirements as defined in Chapter 7 of this standard.
