This National Standard of Canada is based on International Standard ISO/TR 20514:2005. 1 Scope This Technical Report describes a pragmatic classification of electronic health records, provides simple definitions for the main categories of EHR and provides supporting descriptions of the characteristics of electronic health records and record systems.
