1 PURPOSE AND SCOPE The purpose of this document is to establish a certification protocol for medical beds based on the requirements of Standard BNQ 6641-120. Rules of procedure for BNQ certification are described in detail in Document NQ 9902-001. Specific points applying to the certification program prepared by the BNQ for medical beds are detailed hereafter. The table entitled Required Documents and Verifications and Tests to Be Conducted for the Certification Program BNQ 6641-120 - Electric and Manual Medical Beds is an integral part of requirements of this certification program. It is the manufacturer's responsibility to ensure that he possesses the most recent version of this table (see Clause 5.1.2).
