1 PURPOSE AND SCOPE This document presents the BNQ's rules of procedure applicable to the product, process and service certification activities in relation to normative documents. Some certification programs by the BNQ can be offered in conjunction with partner inspection organizations (PIOs) competent in the field (see Clause 4.6). This document does not deal with the certification activities carried out in conjunction with PIOs. NOTES - 1 At the time of the publication of this document, the Bureau de normalisation du Québec (BNQ) was working on a document addressing the service certification activities to be carried out in conjunction with PIOs. 2 The list of certification programs offered in conjunction with PIOs is available on the BNQ?s Web site[http://www.bnq.qc.ca]. For products, the BNQ's certification programs are offered as follows: - product certification; - component certification; - product attestation. The characteristics for component certification and product attestation are presented in Chapters 6 and 7 respectively.
