Maple Syrup - Characteristics and Test Methods - Certification Protocol
1 PURPOSE AND SCOPE The purpose of this document is to establish a certification protocol for maple syrup based on Standard NQ 8280-005 requirements. This certification protocol is supported by Document NQ 9902-001, which serves as a foundation for certification and specifies different rules and procedures in order that they apply specifically to maple syrup, which is the subject of this document. This document is intended for processors wanting to be recognized by the Bureau de normalisation du Québec (BNQ) for the conformity of their maple syrup, and for persons wanting to benefit from the BNQ's certification program developed on the basis of Standard NQ 8280-005 and this document.
