1 PURPOSE AND SCOPe The purpose of this document is to establish a certification protocol for granulated municipal biosolids resulting from the treatment of municipal wastewater and based on requirements of Standard NQ 0413-400. This certification protocol is supported by Document NQ 9902-001, which serves as a foundation for certification and specifies different regulations and procedures in order that they apply particularly to granulated municipal biosolids, the subject matter of this document. This document is intended for producers wanting to be acknowledged by the Bureau de normalisation du Québec (BNQ) for the compliance of their products, for persons responsible for applying Canadian regulations governing the production and use of granulated municipal biosolids, and for persons wanting to benefit from the BNQ certification program developed on the basis of Standard NQ 0413-400 and this certification protocol.
