1. Scope 1.1 This standard applies to air-drying heat-resistant enamel suitable for use on primed or previously painted interior and exterior metal surfaces that are subjected to a maximum temperature of 200ºC. 1.2 The enamel is intended for use on motor vehicles, gasoline, diesel and steam engines, steam turbines, pumps, structural members of boilers and boiler houses, and similar surfaces. 1.3 The testing and evaluation of a product against this standard may require the use of materials and/or equipment that could be hazardous.
