1. Scope 1.1 This Standard provides requirements for thermoplastic pressure piping. It includes definitions, abbreviations, reference publications, general requirements for raw materials, general requirements for manufactured pipe and fittings, the relevant test methods, and marking requirements. Note: The terms "pipe", "piping", "tube", and "tubing" are often used interchangeably. 1.2 This Standard is intended to be used in conjunction with one of the other Standards in the B137 Series to form a complete Standard for a particular product. 1.3 The values given in SI (metric) units are the standard. The values in parentheses are for information only.
