1. Scope 1.1 This Standard specifies test equipment, test methods, and computations for determining the energy loss of instantaneous water heaters with input ratings of 50 000-200 000 Btuh (14.7-58.6 kW). 1.2 SI (metric) equivalents to customary American units (yard/pound) are provided for the purpose of information. SI equivalents may be approximate; the mandatory requirements of this Standard are those expressed in customary American units.
