1. Scope 1.1 This Standard covers chlorinated poly (vinyl chloride) pipe, tubing, and fittings having a standard dimension ratio SDR 11 for use in hot- and cold-water pressurized distribution systems. 1.2 This Standard includes requirements for materials, workmanship, dimensions and tolerances, hydrostatic sustained pressure strength, thermo-cycling resistance, solvent cement, joint strength, and methods of marking. 1.3 Notes to the text do not include mandatory or alternative requirements. The purpose of a note is to separate from the text explanatory or informative material that is not properly a part of the Standard. Notes to figures and tables are to be considered part of the figure or table and are written as mandatory requirements. Legends to figures are to be considered mandatory requirements.
