1. PURPOSE AND SCOPE 1.1 This standard describes four methods¹ for determining the resistance to blushing of lacquer and lacquer thinners: Method A - Blushing Resistance of Lacquer Thinners at Normal Temperature and Humidity Method B - Blushing Resistance of Lacquers at Normal Temperature and Humidity Method C - Blushing Resistance of Lacquers at High Temperature and Humidity Method D - Blushing Resistance of Lacquers at High Humidity. 1.2 The testing and evaluation of a product against this method may require the use of materials and/or equipment that could be hazardous. This document does not purport to address all the safety aspects associated with its use.
