1 Scope 1.1 This standard applies to 50 kg bags made of natural fibre or synthetic material for the packing of cereals, beans or peas for export. The standard provides requirements for materials, construction, dimensions, closures, performance and marking. They are used primarily in food aid contracts issued on behalf of the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA). 1.2 The testing and evaluation of a product against this standard may require the use of materials and/or equipment that could be hazardous. This document does not purport to address all the safety aspects associated with its use.
