1. Scope 1.1 This standard applies to a synthetic laundry detergent in granular or powder form based on surfactant and suitable builders and designed for laundering in all types of water. 1.2 This detergent is not recommended for use in mechanical dishwashers. It is recommended that the textile care labelling system (CAN/CGSB-86.1) be referred to for the laundering of textiles. 1.3 The testing and evaluation of a product against this standard may require the use of materials and/or equipment that could be hazardous.
