SCOPe 1.1 This standard applies to rigid, cellular phenolic thermal insulation in the form of preformed boards and pipe coverings, used in mechanical systems where the continuous use temperature does not exceed 120°C. 1.2 Products to this standard are friable and are composed partly of open cells. 1.3 The testing and evaluation of a product against this standard may require the use of materials and/or equipment that could be hazardous.
