1 PURPOSE AND SCOPE The purpose of this standard is to establish the requirements for the dimensions, characteristics and test methods for unplasticized PVC pipe, such as pipe with smooth outside and inside walls, whether single wall extruded pipe or coextruded walls pipe, and open profile or dualwall corrugated sewer pipe with a smooth inside wall, whose diameter is equal to or greater than 200 mm, designed to be buried and that are used to carry liquids freely by gravity. This standard also applies to fittings used to join the pipe lengths to each other or to smaller diameter pipe lengths described in Standard Nq 3624-130/1987. This standard also applies to above-mentioned pipe that may be perforated or not and to smooth outside wall or open profile fittings comprising sealing rings, that are fabricated using PVC compounds and that are designed for underground sewage and soil drainage. Open profile sewer pipe may be corrugated with a spiral rib or ring shaped ribs.
