SCOPE 1.1 This standard applies to asbestos-cement pipe and couplings, primarily suitable for conveying exhaust fumes from laboratory hoods and from certain processes, for conveying treated air in ventilation systems and for sanitary ventilation of sewage systems. 1.2 For cautionary notes on cutting, grinding, sanding or drilling of this product, see par. 6.2.2 and 8.2. 1.3 The testing and evaluation of a product against this standard may require the use of materials and/or equipment that could be hazardous.
