1. SCOPE 1.1 This standard applies to three grades of oil for the lubrication of refrigeration machinery. 1.2 Oils to this standard are suitable for the lubrication of refrigeration machinery, including domestic-type refrigerators, drinking water coolers and air-conditioning units, operating on halogenated hydrocarbon refrigerants, carbon dioxide or ammonia, between temperatures of -40 and +150°C. 1.3 The testing and evaluation of a product against this standard may require the use of materials and/or equipment that could be hazardous.
