Applies to face protectors and visors intended for use in ice hockey. The objective of this Standard is to reduce the risk of injuries to the face and eyes through the use of a face protector, or to the eyes through the use of a visor, to participants in ice hockey, when the face protector or visor is used as intended for ice hockey and in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions, without compromising the form and appeal of the game.
