1. SCOPe 1.1 This Standard is intended to cover essential requirements for ensuring satisfactory performance of the basic types of structural fire-fighting apparatus such as pumpers, water tank trucks, ladder trucks, aerial devices and combinations of these as commonly used for structural fire-fighting in municipal service. It is sub-divided such that purchasers may specify the individual sections covering the particular fire-fighting functions desired in a vehicle. (e.g. pump, hose-load, water tank, aerial ladder, elevating platform.)
