Textile Test Methods Loss in Strength, and Yellowing, of White Fabrics Due to Retained Chlorine
This method is intended for use in determining loss in strength, and yellowing, of predominantly white woven or knitted fabrics due to chlorine retained in laundering operations involving the use of chlorine bleach and followed by pressing. It is applicable primarily to cotton and rayon fabrics but may be used on any fabric or finish that is not physically damaged by the 185°C heat treatment.
