Procedure for Measurement of Sound and Vibration Due to Blasting Operations

1. Scope 1.1 This Standard covers the procedures for the measurement of airborne sound (Clause 4) and ground-borne vibration (Clause 5) from blasting such as construction and quarrying. Note: This Standard should not be used for measurements of blasts underground without a full evaluation of the frequency content of the vibration, to be sure it falls within the limits of this Standard as given in Clause 5.1.1.
