1. OBJECT AND SCOPE The object of this standard is to establish requirements for dimensions, characteristics and test methods relating to PVC plastic perforated pipe and fittings used for underground gravity disposal of waste water. It applies to rigid and fittings with smooth interior wall, generally equipped with sockets for solvent cement assembly. This standard is specifically applicable to pipe and fittings used for treating septic tank waste by soil percolation. NOTE 1 - Pipe and fittings may be smooth or corrugated, single or multiple wall, or can be coextruded but they shall have a smooth inner wall.
