This Standard pertains specifically to a class of board made predominantly of wood particles of a specified size and shape (wafers), bonded with a water and boil proof binder to a specified level of bending strength after a 2-hour boil test. This class of board is used extensively in exterior construction applications requiring durability and load carrying capacity. This Standard specifies the limiting test requirements and grade marks for two grades of waferboard. Close-up photogrpahs showing examples of sanded and unsanded waferboards are shown in Figures 1 and 2.
