Neoprene Protective Covering on Paper Insulated Lead Sheathed Power Cables

1. SCOPE 1.1 This Standard applies to neoprene protective covering over leadsheathed paper-insulated power cables intended to protect the sheath against mechanical damage during installation and against corrosion. 1.2 The Standard covers extruded neoprene coverings and also coverings applied in tape form and fully vulcanized after application. Note: Neoprene taped covering shall be provided unless otherwise requested.
