Sodium fluoride for industrial use — Determination of fluorine content — Modified Willard-Winter met...
The principle consists in separation of the fluorine from a test portion by distillation with sulphuric acid or perchloric acid. Titration with thorium nitrate solution using sodium alizarinsuphonate and methylene blue as indicators. Alternatively the thorium nitrate titration may be carried out using sodium alizarinsuphonate alone as indicator, the end-point being determined…
Information processing - Unpunched paper tape - Specification
Defines characteristics of paper tape to be used for data interchange, when the tape is in the unpunched condition. To be used in conformance with ISO/R 1974 and 2144.
Hydrochloric acid for industrial use — Determination of soluble sulphates — Turbidimetric method
The turbidimetric method is applicable to products containing less than 0.1 % (m/m) of soluble sulphates. The principle consists in evaporation of a test portion to dryness and solution of the residue in hydrochloric acid. Measurement of the turbidity obtained by precipitation, under well defined conditions, of barium sulphate. Has also been approved by the IUPAC.
Textiles — Standard atmospheres for conditioning and testing
The conditions of temperature and relative humidity for pre-conditioning, conditioning, and testing of textile materials of all kinds and in all forms are specified. A standard temperate atmosphere, a standard temperate atmosphere for testing, a standard tropical atmosphere, and a standard tropical atmosphere for testing are defined. (The adjectives "temperate" and "tropical"…
Defines terms relating to ropes and cordage. These terms are, in particular, for use in the drafting of other International Standards dealing with specification or testing of ropes. General terminology for the textile industry and terms defining specific ropes for the fishing industry, for agriculture, for marine use, etc. are not covered by this document. - Replaces ISO Recommendation R 1968-…
Fishing nets — Hanging of netting — Basic terms and definitions
Describes and defines the principal terms "mounting", "hanging", "length of rope", "length of netting" and "hanging ratio E" and gives an example. - Replaces ISO Recommendation R 1531-1970.
Gives the requirements for 127 mm and 203 mm connections for the purpose of air-conditioning from ground sources. The conncetions shall comply with the basic dimensional requirements shown in either figure 1 or figure 2 as appropriate. The ground unit must not project more than 14,O mm beyond the sealing plane except through defined openings.
Photography — Expendable photoflash lamps — Definition and evaluation of flashability
The specifications are applicable to photoflash lamps in which the light is produced by an electrically initiated combustion within a transparent envelope. The "flashability" of an expendable photoflash lamp is defined, and standard methods for its evaluation and performance requirements are described.
Amendment 1 - Methods of measurement for radio transmitters - Part 1: General conditions of measurem...
Refers to the ITU Radio Regulations and to the Recommendations and Reports of the CCIR. Gives classification of emissions, defines the power of transmitters, the reference frequency, the characteristic frequency; specifies channel arrangements and frequency tolerances; and gives the nomenclature of frequency bands.
