This National Standard of Canada is identical in content and in layout with International Standard ISO 8402-l986, Quality - Vocabulary. It defines the basic and fundamental terms relating to quality concepts, as they apply to products and services, for the preparation and use of quality standards and for mutual understanding in international communications.

Applies to ferroalloys given in the relevant International Standards. Should be read in conjunction with ISO 3713, ISO 7087 and ISO 7373. Includes four annexes.

Comprises some 950 terms and definitions to promote international standardization in the use of quantities, units, symbols and terminology in the field of lighting. Is also CIE Publication 17.4: International Lighting Vocabulary. It has the status of a horizontal standard in accordance with IEC Guide 108.

The methods are carried out on the gross sample or sub-sample obtained from a ferroalloy consignment according to the methods prescribed in the relevant International Standard. The methods are applicable to the taking of increments of crushable ferroalloys but are not applicable to uncrushable ferroalloys of which increments are taken by boring.

The methods given are applicable to increment sampling of consignments supplied both in bulk and in packed form during loading or unloading, and to sampling of consignments in stationary stockpiles. Specifies the methods of both manual and mechanical sampling. Should be read in conjunction with the relevant International Standards for individual types of ferroalloys.

This National Standard of Canada is equivalent to International Standard ISO 4217-1987. It provides the structure for a three- letter alphabetic code and an equivalent three-digit numeric code for the representation of currencies and funds. For those currencies having minor units, it also shows the decimal relationship between such units and the currency itself.

Identifies the parameters associated with the friction and wear of plastics and the conditions that the test methods should address to determine these characteritics. It is intended to provide a basis for further International Standards dealing with friction and wear test methods and specifications of materials.

This National Standard of Canada is equivalent to International Standard ISO 8440-1986. It specifies the location of document and field code designations and coded data entries in documents used in international trade.

1.1 This standard applies to a clear waterproofing compound suitable for use on electrical wiring and engine parts of internal combustion engines. 1.2 For more detailed information on intended uses see par. 7.2.

This National Standard of Canada is equivalent in total without editorial changes with the international document "International Vocabulary of Basic and General Terms in Metrology". It contributes to the study and practice of metrology nationally and internationally. As well, it supports the establishment of a Canadian National Measurement System.
