This standard applies to pre-fabricated, tileable shower receptors and includes requirements for materials, construction, inspection, marking and definitions. The shower surface can be partially or completely covered by materials other than ceramic tiles such as marble, stone, concrete slabs, plastic, etc. so long as the material is properly treated or coated to eliminate any health or safety concerns.
