Gestion du programme de prévention de la perte auditive (PPPA)

• Aligning the standard with other standards in this portfolio that were updated after Z1007 was published such as CSA Z107.6 and Z107.56.
• Redesigning the standard to remove guidance information and add it as new annexes and vice-versa.
• Update of requirements in Clause 5 – detection the hazards – considering the new version of Z107.56.
• Revision of requirements in Clause 7 – hearing protection. This clause needs a major re-structuring and polishing as the order and distribution of information is confusing and a lot of redundancies within the document and with Z94.2 were found after the standard was published.
• Update of Clause 8 – Audiometric testing – considering the new version of Z107.6
• Update Clause 10.5 w.r.t training programs.
• Overall review of “shall” and “should” to make sure the requirements can be met.
• Review and update Annex C for recommendations that are accepted best practices
• Review clauses where Z1007 interconnects with the new CAN/CSA 45001

The scope of the standard does not include guidance on the psychological effects of noise exposure, non-auditory effects of noise exposure and non-industrial noise exposure except as it impacts industrial noise exposure.
