Sodium chlorate for industrial use — Determination of chlorate content — Dichromate titrimetric meth...
Not applicable to the analysis of mixtures for agricultural use such as herbicides or pesticides. Indicates the risk in handling with clorates. Dissolution of the test portion in water and reduction by a known quantity, in access, of an iron(II) salt in a sulphuric acid and orthophosphoric acid medium. Titration of the excess iron(II) salt with a standard volumetric solution of potassium…
Safety in electro-heat installations - Part 2: Particular requirements for resistance heating equipm...
Cancels and replaces the previous edition which had the status of a report. Applies to direct and indirect resistance heating installations. Standardizes the safety requirements to be respected in the industrial furnaces energized with d.c. or a.c. single-phase or polyphase voltage of frequency up to 60 Hz.
Safety in electro-heat installations - Part 1: General requirements
Includes the general safety requirements for the protection of persons against dangers of electrical origin in industrial electroheat installations: arc furnaces, induction furnaces, appliances for indirect resistance heating, etc.
Anhydrous hydrogen fluoride for industrial use — Sampling
This part contains a method for taking laboratory samples intended for the determination of the water content and the preparations of the test samples. Contains instructions for handling with the material. Applicable for taking samples of this highly corrosive liquid from road and rail tanks, drums and cylinders. The principle consists in allowing the liquid of one of these containers to flow in…
Anhydrous hydrogen fluoride for industrial use — Determination of non-volatile acid content — Titrim...
Applicable to contents of between 0.005 % (m/m) and 0.3 % (m/m) expressed in sulphuric acid. Preparation of the samples according to ISO 3137. Removal of volatile acids by evaporation and titration of the remaining acidity with standard volumetric sodium hydroxide solution in the presence of phenolphthalein as indicator. The evaporation is carried out on a boiling water bath in a fume cupboard.
Carbon disulphide for industrial use — Sampling and methods of test
Specifies also the determination of density at 20 0C and the measurement of colour in Hazen units. Details the determination of distillation characteristics, residue on evaporation and inorganic sulphur content. Has also been approved by the IUPAC.
