1. Scope
1.1 This Standard covers asphalt roofing in shingle form, composed of roofing felt saturated and coated on both sides with asphalt, and surfaced on the weathered side with granulated slate or equivalent mineral material of solid or mixed colours.
1.2 This Standard covers the types of shingles listed in Clause 2.1 intended to be used with Appendix A.
