Applies to heat-dissipating and non-heat-dissipating specimens and is a test to determine the ability of components, equipment and other articles to be stored and used under a simultaneous combination of low temperature and low air pressure. It has the status of a horizontal standard in accordance with IEC Guide 104.
1. Scope
1.1 This Standard covers the electrical and mechanical characteristics of:
(a) The round alloy 1350-H19 (hard-drawn) aluminum wires before compacting;
(b) The round zinc-coated steel wires; and
(c) The bare compact concentric-lay-stranded aluminum conductors steel reinforced constructed therefrom; for use in overhead lines.
