Leather — Conditioning of test pieces for physical tests
Method is established in terms of temperature, relative humidity and time to reach equilibrium. Possible deviations from the standard reference atmosphere are mentioned. The procedure is applicable to all types of dry leather.
Aluminium alloy sand castings — Reference test bar
The standard specifies the dimensions and method of production of reference test bars for aluminium alloy sand castings. The figure shows the dimensions, in millimetres and in inches, of the reference test bar which is to be used, together with those of a mould pattern which allows the casting of four such bars.
Desk, Conference and Classroom, Fold-Up Top, 48 x 20
1. Definition
1.1 This standard applies to a conference and classroom desk with a fold-up
top equipped with double book box, manufactured from steel and wood.
Crude sodium borates for industrial use — Determination of sodium oxide and boric oxide contents — V...
The principle of the method consists in determination of the Na2O content by treatment of an aqueous extract with an excess of hydrochloric acid solution, followed by back-titration with standard volumetric sodium hydroxide solution in the presence of methyl red as indicator. Subsequent titration of the boric oxide with standard volumetric sodium hydroxide solution in the presence of mannitol or…
1. SCOPE
1.1 Scope. This Standard applies to precast paving slabs manufactured from a
Portland cement concrete mixture in a range of sizes and thicknesses for use in
the construction of sidewalks and other paved areas. The slabs may be made by
any manufacturing process.
1. Scope
1.1 This Standard applies to non-pressurized liquid fuelled catalytic appliances ranging in input capacities from 1,000 Btuh to 15,000 Btuh primarily used as portable space heating appliances.
1.2 Appliances with input capacities larger or smaller than anticipate d by this Standard may be examined and tested in accordance with the intent of these requirements, with any…
Sodium and potassium silicates for industrial use — Determination of silica content — Titrimetric me...
The principle consists in neutralization of the alkalinity of a test portion, previously dissolved, in presence of methyl red as indicator. Addition of sodium fluoride, which reacts with the silicic acid, forming a euaivalent quantity of sodium hydroxide. Addition of a measured volume of standard volumetric hydrochloric acid solution in excess, followed for diluting by ethanol. Filtration of the…
Anodization (anodic oxidation) of aluminium and its alloys — Insulation check by measurement of brea...
The procedure is directly applicable in cases where the anodization is carried out for the purpose of electrical insulation and in cases where the specifications are based on the principle of breakdown potential. This International Standard specifies principle, apparatus, procedure and expression of results.
