Specifies a standard method of test for the determination of the combustibility performance of a building material under specified conditions. Does not apply to tests of products which are coated, faced or laminated. This third edition cancels and replaces the second edition (1983).

Covers the methods for determining seasonal utilization efficiency for oil-fired water heaters. The tests contained in the Standard are not intended to represent actual efficiencies realized in the field. Instead, these tests provide a standardized method of comparing relative unit performance.
