Manganese ores and concentrates — Determination of calcium and magnesium contents — Flame atomic abs...
The method is applicable to products having calcium contents from 0,01 to 15 % (m/m) and magnesium contents from 0,01 to 4 % (m/m). ISO 7953 should be read in conjunction with ISO 4297. Specifies principle, reagents, apparatus, sampling and samples, procedure and expression of results.
Manganese ores and concentrates — Determination of total iron content — Titrimetric method after red...
Method A is applicable to products having a total iron content from 1 to 25 % (m/m), and method B is applicable to products having a total iron content from 0.2 to 2 % (m/m). ISO 7990 should be read in conjunction with ISO 4297. Specifies principle, reactions (method A only), reagents, apparatus, sampling and samples, procedure and expression of results.
Aluminium ores — Determination of hygroscopic moisture in analytical samples — Gravimetric method
The method is applicable to products having hygroscopic moisture contents, expressed as water, between 0,1 and 5 % (m/m), and shall be used to correct the results obtained for aluminium and loss of mass at 1 075 °C to a dry basis. Specifies principle, material, apparatus, sampling and samples, procedure, expression of results and test report.
Surface active agents — Washing powders — Determination of total silica content — Gravimetric method
From a test portion all ethanol-soluble matter is removed by extraction with ethanol. The solution of the ethanol-insoluble residue is treated with hydrochloric acid and evaporated to dryness. The residue is dissolved in water and the operations are repeated twice. From the solution obtained after this operations the precipitate is filtered, washed, heated to 900 °C and weighed.
Fruit and vegetable products — Determination of formic acid content — Part 1: Gravimetric method
The method consists in quantitative entraining by steam of the acid present in a test portion and reducing of mercury(II)chloride by the acid to mercury(I)chloride, followed by determing of the acid content from the yield of the mercury(I)chloride.
The method described applies to natural and synthetic rubber latices. Two instruments are specified. The method uses a viscosimeter immersed to a specific depth in the latex. Measurements may be made on the undiluted latex or on the latex after dilution to a required total solids content.
Animal feeding stuffs — Determination of zearalenone content
The limit of determination is approximately 50 micro-gram/kg. The method consists in extracting of a test portion with a mixture of acetonitrile and potassium chloride solution, filtrating, defatting, purifying, filtrating again, extracting into chloroform which is subsequently evaporated. Dissolution of the dry extract in a mixture of benzene and acetonitrile and thin layer chromatography.…
Applies to cobalt contents in the range 0,025 to 2,5 % (m/m). Specifies principle, reagents, apparatus, sampling and samples, procedure, expression on results, special cases and test report.
Oil of rosewood — Determination of alpha-terpineol content — Gas chromatographic method on packed co...
A small quantity of the oil is analyzed by gas chromatography under specified conditions on a packed column. The
alpha
-terpineol content is determined by using the internal standard method. Operating temperatures: Oven: isotherm between 120 and 150 °C. Injection system: about 170 °C. Detector: about 170 °C.
Oil of sandalwood — Determination of santalols content (in the form of their trimethylsilyl derivati...
A small quantity of the oil is analyzed under specified conditions. The santalols content is determined by using the internal standard method after their transformation into the corresponding trimethylsilyl ethers. Polyethylene glycol 20 000 is used as stationary phase.
