Pulps — Determination of drainability — Part 2: "Canadian Standard" freeness method
Provides a measure of the rate at which a dilute suspension may be dewatered and is applicable to all kinds of pulp in aqueous suspension. Test results do not necessarily correlate with the drainage behaviour of pulp material on a commercial paper machine.
Magnesium alloys — Determination of thorium — Part 1: Gravimetric method
The method is applicable to products having thorium contents between 0,2 and 5,0 % (m/m). Specifies principle, reagents, apparatus, sampling, procedure, expression of results and test report.
Flat bottom railway rails and special rail sections for switches and crossings of non-treated steel ...
Applies to rails with a linear mass of 35 kg/m or more and to special sections used in association with these flat bottom rails. Does not apply, in particular, to grooved rails and check rails. An invitation to tender should normally be accompanied by a definition of the conditions of use and other documents for carrying out the order.
Defines only the requirements and characteristics of test benches. Applies to test benches suitable for calibration of fuel injection equipment for compression ignition engines requiring fuel delivery up to 300 mm^3/injection/cylinder at full load. This second edition cancels and replaces the first edition (1977).
Coke (greater than 20 mm in size) — Determination of mechanical strength
A sample of coke greater than 20 mm in size and of known size distribution is subjected to mechanical stresses ina rotating drum. The degree of breakdown of the coke is evaluated by a process of sieving and size analysis after 100 drum revolutions (Micum test) and, if desired, after 500 drum revolutions (Irsid test).
