Règles de sécurité pour les travailleurs en plongée
Porté:
Scope of Work
- Consider expanding Standard scope to include scientific diving (e.g., underwater archeology).
- Review and update reference documents (including new IMCA guidelines).
- Review definitions and terminology (consistency with IMCA?). New definitions for “incident”, “in-shore diving specialist”, and “mini ROV”.
- Review the DCIEM/DRDC decompression tables. Do they continue to represent the current medical science?
- Review requirements for supply air purity and sampling methods.
- Review guidance on dive site hazard identification and risk assessment.
- Review requirements for emergency preparedness and expectations that emergency procedures be practiced and verified – especially provisions for recovery of an unconscious diver.
- Review requirement for medical alert tags/bracelets.
- As agreed by the TC, for all Z275 standards, restricted SCUBA will be amalgamated with unrestricted SCUBA to create one category of SCUBA diving: designated “occupational SCUBA”.
- Consider minor revisions to SCUBA activity restrictions.
- Consider additional requirements for SCUBA equipment – full-face masks and bailouts.
- Consider adding requirements for use of rebreathing equipment (SCUBA diving).
- Update the criteria on minimum crew sizes – both for SCUBA and surface-supplied diving.
- Review the requirements for testing and performance of lifelines.
- Consider modifying criteria for maintaining the integrity of umbilicals under harsh conditions.
- Update provisions for through-water and in-water communications.
- Consider adding criteria for tender monitoring of diver telemetry (including depth).
- Amalgamate requirements for NITROX diving as an integral part of requirements for unrestricted surface-supplied diving.
- Update the requirements for deep diving (Clause 10) in harmony with new IMCA guidelines. Consider additional special requirements for offshore diving.
- Review and update requirements for contaminated-water diving (Clause 11). Reference published interpretation.
- Add a new clause specifically dealing with NITROX diving (new Clause 12).
- Update the example of a hazardous substance data sheet (Annex I).
- Update assessment and procedural advice for Penetration Diving (Annex J).
- Develop a new Annex for guidance on Rescue of an Unconscious Diver (Annex K).
