1. SCOPe 1.1 This Standard covers manual pull stations to be installed in ordinary locations, indoor and outdoor, for use in fire alarm systems. 1.2 This Standard covers non-coded and coded manual pull stations. 1.3 A manual pull station having a prewound signalling mechanism and equipped with a tripping electromagnet to permit automatic actuation by separate detectors, and similar combination devices, will be judged with respect to compliance with the applicable requirements for both manual pull stations and electrically actuated transmitters. 1.4 This Standard does not cover municipal fire alarm boxes, nor does it cover electrically actuated transmitters.
