1.1 This TIL contains construction, marking and test requirements for following devices intended to be installed in elevators in accordance with Safety Code for Elevators and Escalators ASME A17.1-2019/CSA B44-19. a) hoistway door interlocks, b) hoistway door combination mechanical locks and closed detection means, c) car-door interlocks, d) door and gate closed detection means, 1.2 This TIL does not cover door or gate interlocks for use only in Platform lifts for barrier-free access within the scope of Standard CSA B355.
